Colby Stephens

My name is Colby Stephens. I am an actor finishing my undergraduate degree in Performance at Eastern Connecticut State. I was born in Minnesota but raised throughout the Northeast. Raised by athletic parents, I played almost every sport offered to me. The one that stuck was Tae Kwon Do. I studied for twelve years and it began my appreciation for patience, diligence, and movement.

Once I started high school and there was no recess I found a necessity to play. I found theater the perfect outlet and my passion and intrigue began right away. I couldn't get enough, then COVID began.  Throughout those years I saw how important community and shared experiences were to a persons emotional success. Right then I decided I was going to help tell stories that made people feel seen.

I am interested in stories that show the emotional ups and downs of everyday life. I believe showing the ugly side of life gives people an understanding of community. We all share emotion and life circumstances and theater is the most abrupt showing of this.
